Daily Grind never disappoints! This isn't my first time here, and I can't believe it's taken me this long to write a review. The food is always good, served hot and they are very accommodating to food preferences. The breakfast burrito was large and I usually get the pancakes because they are soooo fluffy and buttery. Literally like it's from a movie. The service is fast, attentive, receptive and kind. All of the waitresses are genuinely interested in getting to know little things about you while dining. We talked about my water bottle for a good two minutes lol!! The restaurant is quaint and cute, the outside has umbrellas over every table which is convenient and is able to sit a lot of people on bench like seats. The inside has lots of seating as well, but who can pass up a seat in the San Diego sunshine? Thanks daily grind!

Went Saturday morning for brunch and they had live music outside and it was a really good ambiance with it being sunny too. We sat by the window right next to the door and it felt spacious, the inside seatings are not cramped at all. The place is self seating. Our server was great, she was attentive. For food, I ordered a California Omelette and added bacon for $3 and my boyfriend got the #16 on the menu which included 2 pancakes, bacon, sausages, eggs, and their home fries. The food took a little longer than we expected to come out, but it wasn't anything too crazy. My omelette was alright, it was definitely a little runny in the middle, the bacon could've been cooked a little longer if anything and the home fries are soft and I wish they were crispier, but the flavor was pretty good. The pancakes were average and not memorable, but they were decently portioned. Also, I will say that parking is a little inconvenient, I guess you just have to have patience or be lucky.

very cute, homey interior! absolutely love the decor and the servers were so sweet! came in on a friday at 2pm and there was still a lot of seating left! there also offer outdoor seating as well! parking kinda sucks w/ just a couple spots in front of the building BUT theres limited neighborhood parking nearby and a big lot at the Ralphs across the street, no more than a 2 min walk away!

My sandwich was surprisingly good! Very simple and delicious. Wasn't a huge fan of the dirty matcha but I'd come back again for the food.

I went in here thinking it was a coffee shop and I could sit down and get some work done, even better it was a whole cafe! There was a little lunch rush but the staff was super attentive and let me sit wherever I wanted. I had to jump straight into a zoom meeting but the server was so sweet and brought me a drink and a menu very quietly and made me feel so comfortable to order whenever I was ready. After my meeting I was finally able to order, but unfortunately all I had time for was a coffee. And the coffee was SOOO good. I wish I could've taken one to go, but I ordered a Vietnamese and those coffees are strong! I was able to glance over the menu and they had a variety of options, all affordable! I definitely need to come back to try the food. I noticed the server went home and I appreciated her for not hounding me on closing out my ticket with her since she was leaving. I don't know if that's happened to you, but it's awkward! High rating just on the service and coffee alone! Can't wait to come back

A classic diner in the SDSU area. I came here on a Sunday morning and got seated right away. The service was on the slow side and not very attentive, but the workers were all nice. I got the California Omelette and subbed tomatoes for spinach, and it was good. The food took about 20 minutes to come out, so if you're in a rush for a quick bite, this is not the place. Be prepared to wait a bit for your food, but overall it's a nice breakfast spot.

I went there a few days ago to make a carry out order. It's a nice and clean place. Easy to park. The lady who took my order at the register was very friendly. I'm not a fan of eggs. So I went with their grilled cheese sandwich added bacon and a hot coffee mocha. The hot mocha was a big size and very good. Not overly sweet like many places doing it. So I liked it. The grilled cheese sandwich was also good. If you don't eat so much in the morning like me, then it's a perfect size.
